Remember 72 Smalldive’s cruise collection Slow Boat - that was launched two years ago? Well for AW12-13, we revisited the popular Gabry after receiving various feedback from our customers. Many petite women felt that Gabry, whilst handy, may be heavy. Some stores also commented that there are female customers who prefer to a larger compartment to safe keep their valuables whilst maintaining that ‘open’ carefree tote-carrying look.
We listened and for AW12-13 and SS13, we revisited Gabry again. This time the model is available in a medium size for the petite frame and all bags now carry a large middle zip comparment. For this season, dollarino leather is chosen for its higher resistance to scratch and folds, brighter and more cheerful colours are updated for spring and summer the next year. It is a collection that is suitable for stores who are stocking items over a longer period of time.

01 Slow Boat to China is an old poker idiom popularised by Frank Loesser who turned it into a romantic song about a crooner’s intention to embark on a slow journey so that more time could be spent with the one being fancied.
Similarly with this cruise collection, we got our designers & artisans on a slow boat, in hope of creating a classic line that will continue to grow season after season. On this slow boat, oblivious of time constraints, faltering fads, and worldly wants, our team created an elegant and versatile line of tote bags.
